'Well Placed' were enthused on reading Bent not Broken about Dr Lauren Roche's triumph and struggles . The well trodden road of depression, anxiety, guilt are not commonly discussed in such an open and transparent way in the UK.
Like most people we were introduced to Lauren's work by what we feel now was divine intervention - a chance article and interview in a newspaper. This moved us enough to contact her publisher to find out where we could go and see her. That was then.
The tour is now in its second year in the UK built from scratch. We approached a network of schools, colleges and libraries hoping to strike an accord for her work . Lauren has spoken during Adult Learners week (an activity based week organized by colleges, libraries and community groups to engage with adult learners) and International Women's Month . However, Lauren story suits anytime or season and practically any reason.
We have taken her work into schools, colleges, libraries and women's refuge's and everywhere we have gone .. everyone has received the five star Dr Roche treatment.My team who worked with her this year remarked had how incredibly honoured they were to spend time on the road with someone who has experienced great pain and disappointment but has such good humour, charm, charisma and is so down to earth.
We will continue to support her work and represent her European interests in order to help give true voice to people who need a good bit of Lauren Magic.
